The search to
find ‘the greatest guitarist in New Zealand who never played’ is on once again!
2010 ‘NZAGC’
Regional Qualifying Rounds will be hosted at venues throughout the Nation.
Competition & venue details below.
Competition
entry is free & entry forms will be available from participating venues.
Sensational
prizes are up for grabs including the major prize of
a trip for one, including airfares & accommodation, to Australia to attend &
compete in the AUST & NZ
Grand Final.
Contestants play
two rounds being 1) Free Round being a self-chosen song, and, 2) Mystery Round.
Air guitarists’ guitars must be invisible, i.e. air. They can play electric,
acoustic, or bass air guitar – or all of them & assistance from personal air
roadies is allowed.
Judges pay close
attention to the ‘air guitarists’ Showmanship (originality, charisma, artistic
impression) and Technique (strum and cord synchronisation).
